Competitions - Assigning Tee-Times

|
In all singles competitions, the captain and the holder will go out first (assuming they are playing). Medals The players will be split into 3 divisions (0-12, 13-19, and 20+), and the tee times will be allocated to each division in turn. Within the division, the tees will be allocated randomly. Normally, a committee member will go out in each of the first half dozen or so slots. Other Singles Competitions The tees will be allocated based on the results of the previous non-monthly medal competition. People who did not play in the last one will get the tees towards the end (in handicap order). Pairs and Team competitions Any teams/pairs already agreed will get the early tees All remaining players will get allocated to a pairing/team based on the order in which they appear on the start sheet. The holders will go out first, followed by the Captains team. In pairs competitions, they will be together. In all cases, if I get any request for a specific tee time I will do my best to fit it in. So if you want an early or late tee time let me know as soon as possible – write a note on your £2s envelope, or email me. This means that in medals, high handicappers will generally go off at the back. However, people who do well in the non-medals will be rewarded with earlier tee times in the next non-medal. And as I said earlier, if you want a specific tee time let me know and I’ll try to accommodate (as long as you’ve paid your £2). Entry Fee (Twos money) People not paying their £2 is a constant issue, and so in order to simplify my life and make sure people know what is happening, from 1st January, anyone not paying their £2 when they sign up will get a tee time at the back of the field. So if you want an early tee, don’t forget to put your £2 in! If you pay your £2, you’ll go off earlier. |
